Marion L. Raffa of Franklin Square, NY, passed away on Wednesday May 17, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Yardley, PA. She was 79. Born in Puerto Rico, a daughter of Alicia Benet de Ramirez Bages and the late Mariano Ramirez, she has been a New York resident for the past 58 years. Wife of the late Frank S. Raffa, she is survived by her mother, Alicia Benet de Ramirez; two sons, Charles Frank Raffa, and Frank Martin Raffa; her daughter, Marie Raffa Joseph; a brother, Mariano Ramirez; a sister, Alicia Lavergne, and two grandchildren, Alicia Lynn Joseph, and James Patrick Joseph. Family and friends are invited to call from 10:00am to 11:45am on Monday May 22, 2017 at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA. Words of Remembrance will be give at 11:50am. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12pm. Entombment at St. John's Cemetery Mausoleum, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Middle Village, NY will be at 12pm on Tuesday May 23, 2017. Family and friends are asked to gather at the main entrance of St. John's Cemetery by 12pm.
