Obituary of Priscilla R. Walsh

Please share a memory of Priscilla to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Priscilla Rork Walsh, age 78, of Lawrenceville, NJ, died on September 25, 2023, after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. She was preceded in death by her husband David Walsh. She is survived by her loving sisters Cynthia Laird of Yardley, PA, and Susan Rork of Doyletown, PA; her nieces and nephews who she treated like her own children: Susan, James (Lisa), David (Kathy), Stephen (Michelle), and Kathryn (Santa Croce); and her compassionate caregivers who supported her during her long illness. Priscilla was born in New York City on June 22, 1945. She received a Bachelor's Degree in History from Marietta College and went on to earn a Master's degree in Library Science from Rutgers University. Priscilla worked for many years for the State of New Jersey and Middlesex County College until her retirement. Intelligent, professional, and stylish, Priscilla loved fashion, her cats and dogs, genealogy, and collecting. Culture was a big part of her life, and she had ticket stubs from Woodstock as well as season tickets to the New York City Ballet. She was a member of the Morrisville Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir. Priscilla was the fun aunt who took us to concerts and plays and bought us extravagant gifts for our birthdays and Christmas. She joined us for every holiday and family celebration, and she will be missed by us all. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at 11:00am in the Memorial Garden at the Morrisville Presbyterian Church 771 N. Pennsylvania Ave. Morrisville, PA 19067. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Ave. Yardley, PA 19067. Condolences for the family can be left at www.fitzgeraldsommerfuneralhome.com.
