Obituary of Marie Antonette DiMari

Marie Antonette DiMari passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 8, 2023, at the age of 94. She was continuously surrounded by her family to comfort her in her final days. She is survived by her devoted, loving husband of 72 years, Alfred DiMari, her children who adored her, Connie DiMari of New York, NY, Arlene Rosenman (Jules) of Newtown, PA, Eric DiMari (Kathy) of Ewing, NJ, and her pride and joy, four wonderful grandchildren, Sarah (Anup), David (Kerry), Elena (Michael), and Michael, and great-granddaughter, Hannah who she doted on. She is also survived by her treasured siblings, Helen Mormando of Hillsboro, NJ, and Peter Giuliano of New York, NY, and special close-knit extended family, brother-in-law, Roger Williams of New York, NY, son-in-law, Bill Solli of New York, NY, niece, Leah Mormando (Pete) of Flemington, NJ, and nephew, Sal Mormando of Union City, NJ. Marie was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 28, 1929. Marie and Alfred were married on August 5, 1951. They lived many years in New York and on Long Island before moving to Newtown, PA, in 1987. Marie was always known for being a fantastic cook, especially of Neapolitan Italian food, in which she took great pleasure and pride in serving to her family. She made every holiday very special. She also greatly enjoyed opera, being a fan since her teenage years. She will be greatly missed by all. Visitation for family and friends will be held on October 18, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, PA. Interment at the Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown, PA, will be held privately for the family on Thursday, October 19, 2023.
