Obituary of Rose Barnes Kopec

Rose Barnes Kopec, 81, of Yardley, passed away on January 30, 2024. Born in Trenton, NJ, she moved to Levittown, PA, in 1969 before finally settling in Yardley. She worked for over 40 years at Trenton Folding Box. She was a member of the Sons of Italy and the Moose Club. Rose loved to travel, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family. Daughter of the late Dominick and Marie (Zacchi) Ottaggio, mother of the late Ken Barnes, and sister of the late Eleanore Torres. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years Frank S. Kopec of Yardley, PA, her son Wayne Barnes and his wife Carol of Hagerstown, MD, her stepson Eric Kopec and his wife Beverly of Falls Twp., PA, stepdaughter Renee Stephens and her husband Rob of Ohio, former daughter-in-law Renee Barnes, grandchildren Stephanie and Steven Barnes, Kelly and Kevin Barnes, and Eric, Nicholas, and Maggie Kopec, nieces and nephew Linda Kinal, Jim Torres, Annette Anctil, and many other nieces, nephews, and friends. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 11:00am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue, Yardley, PA 19067. Calling hours will be from 9:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Morrisville Cemetery.
