Obituary of Josephine Breen

Josephine Breen (nee Falkowski) of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on May 26, 2017 at Sunrise of Lower Makefield. She was 89. Born in Carteret, NJ, she graduated from Perth Amboy (NJ) High School. She lived in many parts of the country, including Alhambra, CA, Seattle, WA, Framingham, MA, and several communities in NJ: Iselin, Elizabeth, Westfield, and Lakewood. She moved to Pennsylvania in 2009, first residing at Ann's Choice in Warminster. She has resided in Lower Makefield for the past two years. As a young woman, Mrs. Breen worked as a legal secretary until starting a family. Throughout her life she was a committed caregiver to a number of her relatives. She enjoyed traveling and music, and was always active in her church communities and at the Four Seasons in Lakewood. She was married to the late Edward L. Breen, Jr. for 57 years. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David E. Breen and Rev. Cynthia E. Skripak of Yardley; her daughter and son-in-law Nancy and Joe Hagle of Aubrey, TX; four grandchildren, Robert, Patrick, Stefan, and Ryan; two great grandsons, Grayson and Aiden; and sister-in-law Elizabeth Ellis of Canton, MS. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Thursday June 1st at St. Ignatius Church, Yardley, PA. Burial will be at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Friends and family may call from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road),Yardley, PA.
