Catherine Torres, a beloved resident of Lower Makefield, passed away peacefully at her home on March 23, 2024, at the age of 97. Catherine was preceded by her One True Love, Edward Torres, seven weeks earlier. They were fiercely devoted and always together, they couldn't live without each other.

Catherine was born in Trenton, NJ on September 14, 1926. She met Ed at a USO dance in 1950 and married him two years later. They remained together for the next 72 years. They raised three children together Donna Torres, Edward Torres Jr. (Butch), and Lora Torres-Warner (Todd Warner).

Catherine was a loving grandmother to Erin Saylor (Brian Saylor) and Christopher Warner, and her day was brightened when she saw her two great-grandchildren Raegan and Austin. Catherine is preceded by her brothers, Nick, Dominick, and Frank (Babe) and will be missed by her sister-in-law Ginger Cracker along with several nieces and nephews.

Catherine was involved in the church until she became ill. She was a member of Aide for Friends, Knitting Caps for Children in Need and The Quilting Ladies of St. Ignatius. She was a passionate cook and always ready to feed family, friends, and anyone who came into her home.

She was deeply loved and will be missed tremendously.

The funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 1:00pm at St. Ignatius Catholic Church 999 Reading Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. The visitation for family and friends will be from 11:30am to 1:00pm at the church. Interment in the Washington Crossing National Cemetery will be held privately for the family.
