When I was stationed at Ft. Lee in 1954, I would spend some weekends with Marv. and Jeanne. They fed me very well and conducted personal tours in and around D.C.. Years later, Gayle, Jeanne and I traveled with my brother, Carroll in his RV. One trip into Canada we were welcomed by hordes of very hungry mosquitoes at a state park. When Gayle and I tried to repair a RV window, she waved a big towel which worked to some extent. {NOT} Another time, Carroll pulled off the highway and stopped in a turning lane for lunch. We all tried to convince Carroll not to stop there but he said "it's not against the law unless we are caught.". We got caught and I jumped out and told the patrolman the RV just quit and then restarted after cooling off. The nice trooper directed me to a repair garage just a short drive away. We left and Jeanne gave Carroll a ration of grief.
Gayle and I miss them. Bud and Gayle Potter Sedona, Az.
