Anne Welsh Obituary

Anne C. Welsh of Newtown, PA died on Monday May 29, 2017 at Chandler Hall Hospice. She was 96. Born in Mt. Carmel, PA, daughter of the late Frederick Cicconi and Florence Augustine Cicconi, she has resided for the past six and a half years at Chandler Hall Assisted Living; she was formerly of Lower Makefield Township for fifty- seven years. Anne was the bookkeeper for the Eton Shops of Lawrenceville, NJ for 24 years, retiring in 1990. Anne was very active in community activities, the Bristol Historical Society, the Lower Makefield Women's Club, the Sons of Italy and, in later years, the Lower Makefield Seniors. During her residence at Chandler Hall she was an active member of the Auxiliary Board. Wife of the late James L. Welsh, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Joanne B. and Harry Jones, and Mary Ellen and Anthony Dickson, all of Lower Makefield; a son and daughter-in-law, James B. and Kathleen Welsh of Hudson, WI; five grandchildren, Adam, Kevin, and Ryan Dickson, and Amy Wood and Jim Welsh, and two great grandchildren, Grace Wood and Sloan Dickson. She was predeceased by two brothers, Fred and Bernard Cicconi. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am Friday June 2nd at St. John the Evangelist Church, 752 Big Oak Road, Morrisville, PA, where friends may call from 9:30am. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA. The family wishes to sincerely thank the staff at Chandler who showed her much compassion and understanding. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Chandler Hall Employee Fund, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940.
