Elizabeth Mills Moore Elizabeth Mills Moore "Betsy", 81, of Pennswood Village, Newtown, PA, died on Friday, September 6, 2024, at St. Mary Medical Center. Born in Trenton, NJ, she has been a lifelong Yardley-Makefield resident, before moving to Pennswood Village 8 years ago. Betsy was a graduate of Pennsbury High School. She received her BA from Transylvania University and her MSS from Bryn Mawr. Betsy had a long career in the field of Social Services as a Clinical Social Worker in private practice. Besides caring for her family, she was a lifelong member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Yardley where she served on a multitude of outreach committees to serve those in need. Betsy also found time to participate in singing with the Church Choir and the Pennsbury Community Choir. She also used her clinical skills and perspectives to assist TASK and the Peace Center in Newtown. Daughter of the late Clayton and Elizabeth "Libby" (Peter) Mills, she is survived by her loving husband Beryl G. Moore, her two stepsons Grant Moore, III and Peter Moore, her stepdaughter Carin Moore DeSimone, and 6 grandchildren Sean Doyle, Jacob Doyle, Carys Moore, Kai Moore, B.G. Moore, IV, and Courtney Moore. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at 11:00am at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church 47 W. Afton Avenue, Yardley, PA 19067. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067.
