Obituary of Louise M. Crane
Louise M. Crane, 42, of Yardley, PA, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, November 15, 2024. Born in Trenton, NJ, Louise, affectionately known as "Weezie," was a beloved member of the Yardley community for many years.
Weezie's career was marked by her passion for hospitality, a field where she truly excelled. She started her journey at the Hyatt Regency in Princeton, NJ, and later worked in Tampa, FL, before returning to Princeton. Known for her warm personality and expert bartending skills, Louise became a favorite among her customers, always going the extra mile to make sure everyone felt welcomed. She met many famous celebrities and would have great stories about all who crossed her path.
In the later years of her life, Weezie took pride in her work at McCaffrey's Market in Yardley, where she served as the Scanning Coordinator. Regular customers will remember her walking the aisles, making everyone laugh with her jokes, and always asking, "What's for dinner?" Her radiant smile, contagious energy, and genuine kindness made her a true friend to all.
Louise was always surrounded by friends and family. She had a wonderful group of friends, some of whom had known her for decades, remained close despite the distance, and every reunion felt like no time had passed. As they grew up and had children, Lousie would become "Aunt Weezie" and spoil all their children as her own. Every year she spent planning the great August birthday trip back to Marthas Vineyard, MA to spend time together, eat delicious food, and go to the beach.
Not only was Weezie a great friend, but she was also an even more dedicated daughter, sister, and aunt. The bond between Weezie and her mom was one of unconditional love. They were truly partners in crime. Weezie loved her nephew and nieces; she enjoyed spending time with all of them and watching them grow. Aunt Weezie was always up for adventures with Christopher, from train rides to climbing Bowmans Tower and learning about history. She would always let the girls play dress up with all her fancy shoes and would spoil them with matching PJ's during their sleepovers.
Louise is survived by her loving mom, Susan Crane; her sister Elizabeth Raspanti and her husband Greg and their children Christopher and Eleanor; and brother John Crane and his wife Lauren and their daughters Lorna and Lucy; her special Aunt BeeRee Crane; and many cousins, extended family members and friends – from Florida to Pennslyvania. She will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Louise's legacy of warmth, kindness, and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 11:00am at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Visitation for family and friends will be from 9:00am to 11:00am at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Alliance Oncology department.
