Sorry to hear about Dan's passing. I will miss the phone calls whenever he heard about a passing of one of our hometown friends. I was one of the cousins who participated in the dawn to dusk baseball with Dan. Having worked with Dan in the Family grocery store, I would like to share a memory. Being two years youger than Dan, I followed, working in the store. I remember him training me how to slice lunch meat safely, which he did not do for himself, having cut off the tip of his finger a few years earlier.
