Dorothy S. Lippincott of Yardley, PA died peacefully on Tuesday June 20, 2017 at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. She was 96.
Born in Brownsburg, PA, daughter of the late Walter D. Scott and Alberta Jane Guy Scott, she has been a Yardley resident for 94 years.
Dorothy was a life long member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Yardley and ran the St. Andrew's Thrift Shop for thirty years. She was graduated from Yardley High School and Pierce College. She worked at Bayuk Cigar Company and the Yardley Bleachery. She was a volunteer for Aid For Friends for many years, and a member of the American Legion Knowles Doyle Post 317 Auxiliary.
Dorothy was married to the late Roland H. Lippincott for 64 years. She was the sister of the late Russell Scott, Carroll Scott, and Marion Vogel. She was predeceased by a daughter, Joanne and grandson, Shawn Hutchinson. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Lippincott; her daughter, Debby Hutchinson, and three grandchildren, Tara, Chelsea and Trevor Hutchinson and many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service will be at 10am Saturday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 47 West Afton Avenue, Yardley. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
