Obituary of Jeffrey John Strand
Please share a memory of Jeffrey to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Jeffery J Strand of Lower Makefield Township, PA died suddenly on Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at his home. He was 48.
Born in Chicago, IL, son of Carl Strand and the late Sue Steil Strand, he was formerly of St. Louis, MO and Springfield, IL and has resided here for the past two years.
Jeffery was a graduate of Augustana College in Rock Island, IL, received his Master's Degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela Renwick Strand, and his three cherished children, Jack, Gretchen, and Nate. His love to them was shown with his participation in their daily lives, and the laughter he taught them to share. Every day was lived to the fullest with an adventure to be had. He always lived life outside the box and blazing his own trail. No child or man was ever a stranger. He was down to earth and knew how to explain complicated things in a very understandable way. He knew how to manage and be part of a team. A driven person who was always learning and teaching.
Jeff was a serious right winger for 'Shot for the Cure', Johnson & Johnson's Spinal Cord Research Hockey Team. An ever-faithful and true fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, St. Louis Blues hockey team, and yes, it's true, The Chicago Bears.
Most of all his friends will miss his constant and quiet love and support. His most disappointing part of the year was when the Cubs won the World Series.
Jeff's funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, December 5th, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, PA. Friends may call to give hugs 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm Sunday, December 4th at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home, 17 S. Delaware Avenue (River Road), Yardley. Memorial contributions may be made to Frank's Fight with ALS.
