I am very sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to you in this difficult time. I hope you may find comfort at Revelation 21:4, “And he (God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” We can look forward to the time when God will take away all reasons for distress and he even gives us a hope of a resurrection. We just wanted to let you all know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We hope that all of your wonderful memories of “Papa Murphy” provide you with some comfort during this difficult time. I have so many fond memories from over the years.. too many to count..but what will always remain with me is his favorite goodbye line.. “So Long Now” and most importantly how much he loved his “Mare” and his entire family.

Frank shared many of his memories of John, or Johnny as he called him. But my favorite memory was the night Villanova took the NCAA championship. The two of them, and Mary, singing the fight song over the phone late, late at night within moments of the final buzzer of the game. Mrs Murphy, John, Michael and Cathleen, I am so sorry of hearing of the passing of Mr. Murphy. He was a great man. He was my first baseball coach at Somerton Youth. I’ll always will remember him as Coach Murphy. He was a really nice man and always had time to talk to you or help you anyway he could. My prayers are for him and you as a family. May he Rest In Peace.
