I am writing this on behalf of my Mother, Mrs Natalie Jean Jeanne (Nee Houguez)
Carol Hanson Nee Smith
In loving memory of our lovely cousin Carol, the bravest person I ever met, she fought all her health problems, surgeries, disablements and medical problems for years.
Whatever plans she made, she would see them through.
I was fortunate to come to New Jersey, especially for her wedding 27 years ago. I don't think there was a dry eye in the church to see her walk down the aisle with her Mum and Dad. It was the most beautiful and emotional wedding I have attended.
She was most respected and everyone looked up to Carol, we will never forget her and even in Jersey Isle we will miss her terribly.
It was a privilege to have known he.
This last fight she bravely faced knowing the risks, but it was too much. The only consolation we all have is knowing she is free from pain at last and with her Dad and Grandfather!
Gone too soon from us all.
Rest in Peace, our dearest cousin.
Much Love Jean & Marcel

Very sad news to hear about the loss of Carol.
As I only knew her for a short time and we only met once, on my one and only trip to America, I found her to be the warmest and friendliest person I’ve ever met, and didn’t have a bad word to say about anybody.
She made me feel very welcome in her home and she really made my holiday.
She will be missed.
Such a loss is difficult to bare and my condolences go out to all her family.
Thinking of you all at this difficult time xx
Lots of Love.......

My Dear Carol
Although we lived miles apart, you will always have a special place in my heart.
My pen friend from 1973, you became my confidante, my best friend and treated Jamie like your own.
I will always love you Carol and will miss you terribly, you understood me like no other and we had a special bond, you always knew what to say, I learned alot from you.
RIP my cousin, my best friend, you are now free from pain....
Pain you never complained about and you fought to the very end
You will be sorely missed by many and have left a big hole in all of our hearts.
I am at a loss, like so many others...
Until we meet again......RIP xoxoxo
My sincere condolences to Anne, Don & Mary, Barb & Chuck, Chris and all nieces and nephews and grand-children and everyone who knew Carol.

I will miss Carol and our friendship more than words could ever say. Always loyal, loving, caring, giving, selfless, accepting and strong. I loved how she got tears in her eyes when she laughed really hard. Her bright blue eyes. Her methodical way of making life's big decisions. The unwavering support that she gave me and all of her family and friends for that matter. Her courage which she had to call on so frequently. The laughs that we had about her mega QVC purchases, those good looking surgeons and lifeguards, and the crazy hazlenut coffee creamer in her Lipton tea obsession. How she loved my children and always made them feel special. And there is so much more. She was precious to me and to so many others. I have been privileged to have had her in my life. The truest of true. A friend forever. Simply the best. Carol. My heartfelt condolences to Chris, Mrs. Smith, Don, Barbara, Steven, nieces, nephews, cousins, and all the family that she loved so dearly.
