Carol A. Hanson Carol A. Hanson of Lower Makefield Township, PA died on Thursday February 18, 2021 at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. She was 64. Born in Trenton, NJ, a daughter of Anna Burroughs Smith and the late Donald Smith, she has resided in Lower Bucks County for the past 27 years. Carol received her undergraduate and Master’s degrees from the College of New Jersey. She was a trained speech therapist in the Hopewell Valley Regional School District. She was a gifted teacher and a valued colleague. Carol is survived by her husband, Ralph Chris Hanson; her mother, Anna B. Smith; stepchildren, Steven Hanson, and Lisa Greenemeir; sister, Barbara Heenan; brother, Don Smith; three grandchildren, Mitchell and Matthew Greenemeir, and Gavin Hanson, and five nieces and nephew, Katie, Pam, and Holly Heenan, and Kevin and Michael Smith. A private family funeral Mass will be celebrated for Carol at Our Lady of Good Counsel in West Trenton, NJ, followed by burial in the Ewing Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Jersey Arthritis Foundation, 555 US-1, Iselin, NJ 08830 www.arthritis.org.
