Dave was someone I looked up to as a parent. He and Celine were role models for me. They loved my boys, Braeden and Declan, as their own. I remember sitting with Dave at Jeremy’s high school graduation party. He requested the song “Simple man” by Leonard Skinner. He told me as we sat there, I just want a simple life, to be a simple man. I remembered that. It inspired me, to live simply and enjoy the small moments we have. He was an amazing husband and father. He fought so hard to beat this disease. He never relented. He may have wanted to be a simple man, but in my eyes, he was an extraordinary man. Rest easy my friend, and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hands.
