I was so blessed to meet Marianne through the Elizabeth Ministry at St. Paul Parish. She was such a funny, kind, and caring friend and was such a joy to spend time with. I’m so grateful to have known Marianne. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen

Dear God, watch over Marianne Pope as she enters into your kingdom and please shine your light of hope to pierce through the darkness that surrounds the entire Pope Family.
Marianne’s memory and undying love will continue inside everyone.

While I didn't know Marianne, I had heard lots about her as a good friend and work colleague of her mother, Eleonore. We also heard lots about Rebecca and her college achievements. Knowing Eleonore & Frank as I did I feel I knew their family. Sending heartfelt sympathy to all Marianne's remaining family. Ruthann Sanders RNBS

My sincere sympathy on the loss of Marianne.. she and I were roommates for 4 years of college in Winona Minnesota studying to be nurses. We learned a lot about life and had so many unforgettable memories. We lost touch over the years but I received a Christmas card every year keeping me up on her growing family .She was so proud of her accomplishments as wife, mother and grandmother ..she certainly has left her mark in this world and will never be forgotten . My deepest sympathy to all of her family .. Debbie Kronebusch

We were deeply saddened to learn of Marianne’s transition. Marianne, Steve, Matt, Chris, and Becca became our extended family when we moved to Worthington and 2 doors down from them in in 1993. Marianne was very welcoming and supportive helping us learn the community and introducing us to other neighbors. We developed a good friendship enjoying many jokes, meeting each other’s parents, attending our kids’ school activities/sporting events, and of course neighborly pop-in visits. As our kids grew into adults -attending their weddings, and later sharing stories and pictures of grandchildren. Her kindness and compassion was special when she offered to be my ailing mother’s caregiver for a very hot afternoon the weekend of my son’s wedding. I missed seeing Marianne and Steve when they moved to PA and maintained contact, but it was not like visiting down the street.
We are sorry that we are not able to attend the service but sending sincere sympathy to the Pope Family as we remember Marianne with love and affection. RIP Marianne.

My heart is broken at the loss of Marianne. We meet almost 30 years ago when ours dogs played together in our backyards even though they were separated by a fence! The Popes were the best neighbors and even better friends. Marianne adored and cared for her family with joy and love every day. Her children had THE BEST mom, and she inspired me to be a better mother and human! She never had an unkind word to say about anyone or anyhting. The world was a better place with Marianne in it! Sending love and prayers for strength and comfort to the Pope family during this very difficult time. Mrs. Pope was the Mom all
of us aspired to be, someone who her adult kids and grandchildren looked forward to seeing, visiting with and spending time together. We hope in time that the love that was shared brings peace to her loved ones, until they meet again.

Marianne was the best of the best. I was one lucky girl when we became friends in 5th grade. We loved that we spelled our names the same way and spent a lot of time looking for things to buy with our name on it. Most of the time we came up empty handed, but loved the searching and shopping part anyway! We had quite the friendship throughout grade school, high school, college and adulthood. Nothing will replace the memories and loved we shared, but knowing she is finally without pain and in God’s loving arms makes my heart happy and sad at the same time.
She will always remain my forever friend. Condolences to Steve and her beautiful family from the bottom of my heart.
Love, Marianne

Marianne is my sister, the prettiest bravest little woman in ever. I have a lifetime of memories. She adored her husband. She loved her children and lived for them. She made te world a better and more beautiful place. Her nose was my favorite thing and first memory coming home in the car as she looked at me.
God blesssed us and pray til we meet again. Deene

Marianne, our daughter’s Mother In Law, was a kind and caring person. To her family and friends, we quote Thomas Campbell “To live in the hearts we leave behind, is not to die”. Thus, she will not have died and be forgotten.
May these words bring you comfort, hope and peace at this time and the days a head.
Sincerely ,
Robert& Victoria Howell

I was so very blessed to be Marianne’s hairdresser. She was so witty and caring. I saw her regularly and she was always full of love and hope. I genuinely enjoyed our time together and will forever wait to give her another bang trim. Prayers to the whole family. Xo

My heart is so very sad today. Having been neighbors and working together for many years, I got an almost daily dose of Marianne’s humor. She was always a true friend and there when I needed her. When my husband passed away, she and her son, Chris, picked up all of the floral arrangements from the funeral home and brought them to my home. When I was diagnosed with cancer, she went to the doctor with me, and she or Steve would come over when I needed something. Since they moved from Worthington, Ohio, I have missed seeing them walk their dog through the neighborhood, often stopping to chat. I still smile when I think of the time Steve “slid” their dog into my pool with his foot just to get a rise out of Marianne (and he did!). Even discussing her illness, she managed to make me laugh throughout our conversations. I already miss you, my dear, dear friend. My heartfelt condolences to Steve, Matt, Chris, Becca and all the family. What a void she will leave. Eileen Calvey
