Marianne B. Pope, 69, of Yardley, PA, passed away on November 28, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, NY, Marianne grew up in Park Forest, IL. She earned her nursing degree from The College of St. Teresa in Winona, MN. Prior to having her children, she enjoyed her career in nursing for several years at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL. She then devoted her life to raising her family in Worthington, OH, and worked for the local school district. She enjoyed family get-togethers, especially her children's weddings, and her time spent at her and her husband's lake house on Lake Michigan. She was also an avid dog lover, but more than anything else, she loved being "Mimi" to her grandchildren. Daughter of the late Francis T. Burns, Jr., and Eleanore (Stengel) Burns, she is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Stephen Pope of Yardley, PA, her children Matthew Pope and his wife Alicia of Chicago, IL, Christopher Pope and his wife Whitney of Washington, D.C., and Rebecca Kasper and her husband Brian of Yardley, PA, her grandchildren Ainsley, Maisy, Benjamin, Caroline, and Elizabeth, her sister Christine Burns-Lehrfeld and her husband Samuel, and her beloved dog Millie. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 2, 2023, at 11:00am at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church 999 Reading Ave. Yardley, PA 19067.
