Joseph M. Mulé, 74, of Columbus, passed away on June 29, 2024, at home, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Trenton, Joe resided in Pennington for over 30 years, before moving to Columbus in 2011. He was a graduate of Trenton High School, Class of 1968, and Trenton State College, Class of 1972. Joe was a longtime parishioner of Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Ewing. He was employed by New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company for over 40 years. He was the President of the Mercer County A.S.A. Umpires Association for 18 years and was also the Vice President for 5 years. He was a member of the IABBO Board 193, a devoted member of the Trenton P.A.L., the Monteleonese Society of Trenton, The Ancient Order of Hibernians, and the Social Committee, Civic Committee, and Homeowner's Association at the Four Seasons of Mansfield. Joe was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan. Joe enjoyed simple pleasures: tanning poolside, a day at the beach and eating a good Italian hot dog. Most of all, Joe was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Pop always cherished the time spent with his family. Son of the late Joseph and Rose (Peroni) Mulé, and brother of the late Melinda Mulé, Samuel Mulé, and Santo Mulé. Joe is survived by his loving wife of over 50 years, Susan (Alfano) Mulé of Columbus, NJ, his children Joseph V. Mulé (Maria) of Hamilton, NJ and Maryann Mulé of Garwood, NJ, his grandchildren Joseph Dylan "JD", Sydney Susan, and Sawyer Joseph, his sisters Frances Mulé and Rosemarie Rozenblat (Ed), several nieces and nephews, and many cousins and dear friends. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, July 8, 2024, at 11:30am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 137 W. Upper Ferry Road Ewing, NJ 08628.
