Obituary of James M. Fletcher

James M. Fletcher, 89, of Washington Crossing, PA, passed away on November 24, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Hamilton, NJ, he has been a lifelong area resident after building his home on the river in Washington Crossing over 65 years ago. Jim was retired from Verizon and the State of New Jersey. He loved swimming and boating on the river and also his backyard parties. Jim will fondly be remembered as the "Tennis Ball Man". Most of all, he adored the time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Husband of the late Adele L. (Mueller) Fletcher, father of the late James M. Fletcher, Jr., and Dean T. Fletcher. He is survived by his loving daughter Victoria "Vicky" Kaminski and her husband Daniel of Englewood, FL, his loving son John "Jack" Fletcher and his wife Deanna of Washington Crossing, PA, his daughter-in-law Denise Fletcher of Tucson, AZ, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, December 2, 2024, at 10:30am at St. Ignatius of Antioch Church 999 Reading Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery on River Road in Yardley, PA. Calling hours for family and friends will be on Sunday, December 1, 2024, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at the FitzGerald-Sommer Funeral Home 17 S. Delaware Avenue Yardley, PA 19067. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to either the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (www.mskcc.org) or to St. Mary Medical Center.
