My first best friend, Dad ♥️
I have to be honest I’m finding it hard to find the words, as my mind and my heart still feel like he is here with us. I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to understand a life without my dad. I still can’t believe I’ll never hear him say “I love you Bone“.
Our family story is different, filled with extreme highs & extreme lows & the beautiful chaos all in between. My Dad did a really great job of teaching all the lessons to learn through every phase of life. The hard lessons with the encouragement to follow that you can get through it. The blissful moments where he reminded us to slow down and appreciate the blessings. To find the time to laugh a little even if it’s the last thing you feel like doing. And when life feels overwhelming “ inch by inch it’s a sinch yard by yard, you make it hard “. Dad was full of his little sayings like that .. “ good better best never let it rest until your good is better and your better is your best”. I don’t know if he ever truly realized how much his little sayings mean to me. They will be little reminders of him that I share with my kids. Even the obnoxious wake up song that he would sing to wake us up for school.
Just like my Dad had a really beautiful way to give advice and teach lessons, he had a beautiful heart. A heart that kept loving despite all his hardship. He had a heart for the Lord and a heart for his family.
Our story was only 32 chapters long. Some of the most important chapters will never be written now. The one where he was going to walk me down the aisle was going to be my favorite. the one I couldn’t wait to write with him. 32 short chapters..
I’ll miss him everyday for as long as I live but I’ll also make him proud everyday that I live. I’ll make sure his grandkids know all his one liners and I’ll tell stories of some of my favorite memories like snorkeling with sharks and piggy back rides to bed
I wouldn’t be me if it wasn’t for him.
For now I’ll settle in peace knowing he’s no longer in pain, he’s reunited with his parents and I know he’s sailing the beautiful blue oceans. Untill we meet again, I love sou Dad ♥️

I want to give thanks to the man who wasn't my biological father, but came into my life and acted as one. He embraced my sisters and I into his family with open arms and while it wasn't always easy, it was worth it.
He was a man who always thought of others before himself. While it could be frustrating to watch at times you could see he took great pride in being able to help others. He was always willing to help you fix something , give you advice, or just teach you something new. I'm so thankful for how supportive he was and all the things he taught me.
Though his time with us has ended, his legacy will live on in the memories we cherish and the values he instilled in us. I will always remember him as a man of integrity, with a big heart, and an even bigger smile. Dad, thank you for everything, love you.

I don't have a first memory of Jason, but I do have many fond ones. Even before I married Adam, I felt like I was part of the Osworth family. Jason was a part of that welcoming feeling every Sunday at Mom and Dad's for dinner after church. He was the best man at our wedding and always had a ready smile over the years that have passed since then. One special memory I have is from 2011 when Jason and Celeste brought Mom out to visit us in Iowa. The love he had for Mom was so precious to witness. To drive two days one way so she could visit us is a sacrificial love like the Savior's.
I miss him and love him like a brother, but rejoice that one day I will see him in the glories of heaven with our blessed Redeemer.

Ozzie and Pat were our next door neighbors. So we knew Jason and his brothers as young kids. I babysat for them a couple of times. Very nice family- great to have for neighbors. My Dad had invited them to church and they started coming faithfully. I am so glad to hear that Jason knew Jesus Christ as his Savior and he is reunited with his parents and my Dad.

As far back as I can remember, Jason was there. He was a large part of my
early life and adulthood. You might say that he was my best friend. Only Jason
was more like a brother to me than my own brother was! We grew up together
and did many of the things that young boys and young men did growing up in
the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. We’d go on day-long bike rides, camping, hunting and
fishing trips. We’d listen to the latest records, work on our cars and hang out at
the Jersey shore. I could go on forever with tall tales and escapades that we
shared but I’m sure that his family has heard them all over the years. Believe
me when I tell you that they were all true!
Through Jason, I met my wife when he dated her best friend. I was his best
man when he married, and he was mine. But as often happens, our lives went
in different directions. My young family moved from New Jersey to upstate
New York and his down to the Florida Keys. We lost touch for many years but
reconnected when his father passed away. Every so often we’d send each
other a text to see how the other was doing. We always thought that there
would be time to get together again when life got less busy.
What I will remember most about Jason was his quick wit and laughter. His
kindness to others, love for his family and his deep faith. I’ve no doubt that he
is with God now. Until we meet again, rest in peace my old friend.

He was a big inspiration to me and helped me get closer to God. He definitely gave me a big step in my relationship with the Lord. I pray that he is living his best life in Heaven and getting what he deserves. We will forever miss you Grandpop.

"Thou wilt show me the path of life: in Thy presence is fulness of joy: at Thy right hand are pleasures forever more." Psalm 16:11.
Though the physical life of my brother has ceased, I am confident he has only just begun to live real life in the presence of his God and Savior. Joy is his that we too shall know in the future and will rejoice with him for all eternity in the presence of the saints who went before us and who are still with us.
Much like his mother, he had a servant's heart and lived a servant's life, in servant's clothes. Now however, he walks with the King of kings, is donned with a white robe of righteousness, and awaits his loved one's arrival.
Jesus Himself said; Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
I believe Jason did that, and finished well.
Let's give thanks that there is coming the greatest family reunion the world will ever see!

This wasn’t supposed to be this way… we were supposed to do more fishing and shooting and working on cars together…. I’m gonna miss you so much! Thank you for all the wisdom you gave to me and teaching me to fix just about everything, Katie loves you forever that! I’ll never forget the times we spent together and working together or the long political talks. You may not have lived in paradise but you have made it to the ultimate destination and I hope you’re landing the biggest fish right now. The kids miss you so much! I can’t wait to hug you again I’ll see you at the gates I love you dude!
Thank you Dad for all the great memories!

Taking on the step father role I’m sure wasn’t easy but he did it without hesitation & was truly the best. I am forever grateful to have had him and all he’s done for me and taught me. Until we meet again, we’ll be missing him forever.

Jason is my son-in-law (Mark) father. We went on vacation to Destin, Florida with Jason & Celeste, Mark, Katie, TJ, Vanessa & other friends. It was during that trip that we bonded and became friends. We went on a cruise with the same group and had a Great time! Jason gave me a Bible with Large print as a Baptism gift. He had one too! As he had trouble reading the small print too! He was a GREAT friend & was always available for me to talk to him, he was sick and in the hospital, he called me and told me to call him, I was dealing with my wife and her cancer surgery. and having a hard time dealing with it , he’s in the hospital dealing with his health issues, he’s telling me, if I need to talk to call him! I never forgot that he was that giving & selfless. He was a Great friend and I miss him dearly. I know he is with God and I will see him again!
